Audrey Gerold of Columbia Awarded Research Grant at Millersville University

Audrey Gerold, of Columbia, Pa., a student at Millersville University of Pennsylvania, recently received the spring 2012 Neimeyer-Hodgson Research Grant. Gerold, a biology major, was awarded $600 for the Riparian Buffer Restorian: a model for stream restoration and a service-learning opportunity for Millersville students project.

Recipients of these funds must be full-time undergraduate students at Millersville University. The total grant amount awarded for spring 2012 is $5,810 to 13 students. This program was established to recognize individuals in pursuit of scholarly research. The Neimeyer-Hodgson Fund, introduced in 1983, was established with monies bequeathed to the Millersville University Alumni Association by Minnie Menges Niemeyer, Class of 1923, and Laura L. Hodgson, mother of Pearl Hodgson, Class of 1931.
